November 2022 iTecs GOAT Award
August 22, 2024
The holidays are here, and so is our new GOAT for the month, Preston Jones. Preston is a relatively new hire but is already getting lots of attention from our clients. Preston is a nice guy. Maybe it's even a little more than that. We have several clients who specifically request him and won't talk to anyone else. Not that the rest of our employees aren't upstanding, but Preston seems to have a certain something that keeps people coming back. Personally, I'm a little afraid of talking to him because I worry I might end up the same way. I'm perfectly happy with my lot in life and if I discover suddenly there's a Preston-shaped hole in me, then what? Am I going to be forced to call our hotline to listen to his voice, too? No. No, we'll just sit him by Austin 'THE HUMAN FIREWALL' Morris as that dude doesn't let anything through. I'll be fully blocked from his mojo and able to live my boring, normal life.
So yeah, Preston got the GOAT this month because no one could tell him no. He just walked up and grabbed it and we all kind of let him do it. It doesn't help that he also had excellent call and ticket stats this month and that he was polite when he grabbed it and told us that he was the GOAT now. I'm not going to tell him otherwise; he did earn it, if not by being polite and having the best stats, then by grabbing what he wanted and telling us all to kick rocks if we didn't like it. I'm kidding. He'd never say anything like that. But he did imply it, by kicking rocks at me.
If Preston wants to keep it, he's gonna have to work for it. We've got one more month before the year is out and then we'll be choosing our GOAT of the YEAR, and there will be slightly more in-fighting for it. We've got a three-way tie between Nick, Marc, and Austin for the most GOAT awards won this year, so we're probably going to see a whole lot more politeness and good ticketing, or maybe someone will just grab the GOAT again. Anything goes!
