About iTecs

iTecs, an MSP, Cybersecurity, and Managed Cloud Hosting firm, is growing quickly in the North Dallas / Plano area. We are looking to hire a motivated and experienced IT Support Specialist to provide remote and onsite support for our clients.

Our expectations of an IT Support Specialist

We define an IT Support Specialist as someone who already has ample experience working with computer hardware, Windows and/or MAC operating systems, and can communicate effectively with our clients.

Those entering the IT support specialist field are expected to possess strong communication skills, knowledge of common computer systems, and a desire to find solutions to different technical issues users may face. This role involves providing guidance on any related topics and troubleshooting computer problems. It is necessary to beagle to effectively work with clients or customers in order to properly fulfill this role.

The IT support specialist is an in-demand role due to its importance in allowing businesses to operate smoothly. Tasks undertaken by IT support specialists include:

  • Providing assistance with resolving common computer issues
  • Responding to requests for information technology services and repairs
  • Perform computer hardware upgrades, imaging, and troubleshooting
  • Directing customer messages or calls to the relevant personnel
  • Utilizing a ticketing system to track and document requests
  • Offering recommendations on how computer systems can be improved
  • Documenting customer support inquiries and resolutions
  • Upgrading and managing systems for optimal performance
  • Administrating username and passwords in Active Directory and Office 365
  • Implementing new productivity software

Each client is assigned a pod of iTecs experts who work with each other to achieve our mission statement of providing top-tier and white-glove IT support services. Also, each pod has a Team Lead who is the immediate supervisor and provides guidance and clarification on the environmental details of our clients’ infrastructures.
