IT Support Specialist Who Provides Fast & Accurate Support

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for delivering fast and accurate level 1 (and some one and a half) remote, onsite, and phone IT support to our clients, including the ability to execute detailed documentation and professional communication. For you, it brings you a sense of fulfillment when you are able to help your clients resolve their issues successfully, receive their appreciation, document the solution, and finally close the ticket. The process of finding the most appropriate solution to a problem is always a joy for you. The other half of the experience is when you exceed their expectations by delivering an exceptional level of courtesy and professionalism, which is often rewarded with multiple expressions of gratitude.

iTecs is actively searching for a detail-oriented, self-disciplined professional who excels in a fast-paced, structured work environment. Your analytical and inward-thinking skills will be utilized to assist clients in resolving their computer and network-related issues. You will also collaborate with your team on projects and tickets that require a higher skill set, creating an environment that challenges you and promotes technical and professional development.

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

- Assist clients with level 1 technical issues both remotely and in person at their offices
- Update and communicate progress with customers to ensure a positive experience
- Ensure thorough documentation in the iTECS ticketing and documentation systems
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills to follow through on appointments

Job Overview and Requirements

Job Type: IT Support Specialist

Work Hours: Full Time plus there is an on-call rotation to monitor tickets until 10 pm

Technical Requirements:  Professional experience supporting Microsoft Windows, computer and peripheral hardware, an understanding of TCP/IP/DNS/DHCP, administration in Active Directory, Office 365

Are you a Network Administrator?

A Network Administrator, as per our definition, is a professional with significant experience working with Windows and/or Linux servers, firewalls, and networking. In addition, such a person is competent enough to handle a wide range of IT issues and projects for our clients.

  • Experienced in networks, firewalls, routers, VPNs, and VLANs
  • Some experience in Windows Server and/Linux operating systems
  • An understanding of computer and networking hardware.
  • Adaptable and able to apply solutions to a multitude of challenges
  • Motivated to learn new technologies, interfaces, and IT methodologies
  • Professional, courteous, and personable

Are you a System Administrator?

As per our definition, a System Administrator is an experienced professional with a strong background in working with Windows and/or Linux servers and workstations, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Office 365, Azure, multi-factor authentication systems, virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM), and computer hardware. Such a person possesses a comprehensive understanding of the architecture, configuration, and management of complex IT systems and is capable of solving a wide range of technical issues to ensure optimal system performance and availability.

Are you aN IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

We define an IT Support Specialist as someone who already has ample experience working with computer hardware, Windows and/or MAC operating systems, and can communicate effectively with our clients.
